About CSI-HSG The Competence Center for Social Innovation at the University of St.Gallen (CSI-HSG) contributes towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a higher pace. We help people and organizations to develop a common mindset and work more effectively towards impact, by increasing their know-how and capabilities for collaboration and bridging rationalities. We develop, test, and iterate upon formats that generate public value in new ways. Our approach is open and collaborative, bringing together a range of stakeholders, including public sector entities, the private sector and civil society organizations. The Competence Center for Social Innovation (CSI-HSG) was launched as Competence Center for Impact-Driven Entrepreneurship and Public Innovation (IDEPI-HSG) in 2018 and renamed to CSI-HSG in early 2020. It is affiliated with the Institute for Systemic Management and Public Governance (IMP-HSG) and the School of Economics and Political Science (SEPS) at the University of St. Gallen. The competence center is also a partner of the Initiative for Blended Finance (IBF) at the University of Zurich.
